First cruise ship of the year sails in on Tyne

The first cruise ship of the year to visit the Tyne sailed in on Wednesday April 12th.

The 65,000 tonne MSC Lirica made a one-day visit as part of a six-night European cruise, and berthed at Northumbrian Quay, North Shields.

This Harbour Seal pup decided to have a rest and a wash on North Shields fish quay sands in January 2011. Looks cuddly but in reality they're aggressive and have sharp teeth!
