You can choose from a comprehensive range of draught beers, lager, premium lager, Guinness and cider. We also have a full range of bottled beers and ciders, soft drinks in bottle and draught, and a wide range of spirits and liqueurs. We stock a fine range of single malt whisky and good wine is available by full bottle or single measure bottles.
We have Sky TV in our lounge and snug so you can catch all the sporting action live. If you’d rather have a quieter drink the bar is reserved for the art of conversation!

Welcome to the Low Lights Tavern! A Great British Pub located in the heart of the historic fishing port of North Shields. In a traditional “olde worlde” atmosphere with roaring real fires we serve superb cask beers including Draught Bass, Wylam Bitter and a guest ale. The Low Lights is Shields’ oldest pub and can trace its roots back for over 400 years, You can join the long list of fishermen, sailors, merchants and even the occasional ne‘er do well who’ve enjoyed our cosy hospitality and you might even see one of the several ghosts that are reputed to be in residence! We’re open from 12 ‘till 11.
